What This Assessment Measures
Most teams fail their quarterly goals before the quarter starts. The goals are too vague to act on, disconnected from what the company actually cares about, measured by lagging indicators nobody sees until it's too late, set at the wrong difficulty level, or written by one person and handed down without real buy-in. None of these failures show up in week one. All of them show up in week ten, when the quarter is already lost.
This assessment measures 5 dimensions where team goals typically break: whether they're concrete enough to act on, aligned with company priorities, balanced between leading and lagging indicators, set at a stretch that motivates rather than demoralizes, and actually owned by the team rather than imposed on them.
You will see 15 realistic scenarios. Pick the response closest to what you actually do, not what sounds best. Your results include an overall score (Set Up to Win, Workable But Wobbling, or Set Up to Fail), a breakdown across all 5 dimensions, specific advice for your weakest areas, and recommended articles.
This assessment takes about 4 minutes. No email address required. Best taken at the start of a quarter (before goals are locked) or at the mid-quarter review.
This is a self-reflection tool. It is not a substitute for formal goal-setting frameworks required by your company or performance management system. Use the results as a prompt to improve your process, not a verdict on your management.
