What This Assessment Measures

Managing Gen Z is not about lowering your standards or learning TikTok. It is about recognizing that this generation has fundamentally different expectations around communication, feedback, flexibility, purpose, and career growth. Ignore those differences and you will lose talented people. Adapt to them and you will build a team that outperforms your expectations.

This assessment measures five specific areas where managers most commonly clash with Gen Z employees: communication gaps, feedback mismatches, flexibility resistance, purpose disconnects, and growth blind spots. Each area has different consequences and different fixes.

You will be presented with 15 realistic management scenarios and asked how you would respond. Each scenario maps to one of the five dimensions. Your results include an overall score, a breakdown across all five dimensions, personalized insights, and recommended reading.

A high score does not mean you are a bad manager. It means your instincts were shaped by a different era and some of those instincts are creating friction with a generation that works differently. Understanding where the gaps are is the first step to closing them.

This assessment is designed for self-reflection and personal development. It is not a clinical instrument, a personality test, or a substitute for professional coaching. Generational patterns are broad trends, not universal rules — every employee is an individual first.
